Our first daughter, Noelle Elizabeth Fandel, was born on April 24, 2004 at 5:22 AM. At birth, she weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and was 21.5 inches long.
Her birth followed a short but lively labor involving a hot tub, a Marcus Didius Falco mystery (which almost caused baby to receive a name like Milvia), waiting too long, some highly amused paramedics, an ambulance ride, the Unintended Hospital, and lots of people saying "don't push" while Heather insisted "I'm not! Oh, I am. Okay, 'don't push, don't push, uhhhhh!'"

Dave's parents visited on April 25th and on April 26th we took her home. She sure looked tiny in the carseat. | ![]() |

| Apparently newborn babies sleep. A lot. In the carseat, in the bassinet, on the bed. | ![]() |

There must be something about that red shirt that causes sleep. | ![]() |
